Not to mention Ritchie's movies are ensemble casts and In Bruges has like 6 people in it.
And emotion. And wit.

In fact, the only thing I don't particularly like about the film is Carter Burwell's oddly hard rock soundtrack during the chase scenes.

Yet unfortunately, though not unexpectedly...
***DAWN OF THE DEAD UPDATE***
“We're afraid the pre-order date will now be delayed. Latest restrictions will affect production and while we hope the release date won’t change we want to be sure before taking pre-orders. The situation is ever changing so we will update when we can but most importantly Stay Safe.”

This will be region B right? Any word on a region A equivalent?

Nope.

Also, for those with an UHD player but no region free capabilities, the bonus disc is also going to be B locked.

I watched The Man with the X Ray Eyes this morning and was pleasingly surprised by it. Technically, it's a very competent 2K remaster (I guess the same Kino used in the US), but it was also a better movie than I expected. It's silly in its second half for sure, but I thought the movie would get exploitative or sleezy or something like this, but it actually remains quite "general audience friendly" and Milland's character remains likeable enough to relate to him in some ways.
It also comes with 2 new interviews, one with Corman and one with Kat Ellinger, and both are interesting, though I liked Ellinger's one better.

Document of the Dead - The New Cut sounds very interesting! It looks as if I'm still going to have to keep that early 2000s Synapse disc around for the Roy Frumkes commentary though!

I'm guessing it's the version Synapse released on their 2012? reissue, though I honestly don't remember what the added material brought to the table. I feel like it cuts all of the Two Evil Eyes material tacked onto the end, but the press release suggests it included footage from it, so I really can't say. I guess continue to be intrigued!

Something I'm really curious about is the novelisation - has anyone read it? A recent reprint seems to suggest it was co-written by Romero, but I'm guessing that's most likely becuase he wrote the film? This set sounds like it'll be enormous! At this stage, their edition of Martin can't help but pale in comparison, extras-wise. I feel like somewhere there should be an ad for it stating "Four blu-rays, three CD's, two books, one film!". Or should that be 1kg.

There's been no update on the pre-order for Dawn of the Dead correct? I don't see it on their website and just looking to confirm.

Not that I've seen, no. Given what they stated a month ago, I'd imagine the ongoing apocalypse is making it a little hard to nail things down right now.

Second Sight doesn't release limited edition titles in cheaper standard editions (i.e. with less or no extras), do they?

Thanks! I'll probably hold out (or rather hope) for that. Unless there's an enormous markdown, 70 or 80 quid for one film is way too much for me as I'm only interested in the US theatrical cut, not the other two.

Googling around and I'm seeing some posts on another forum about that... but have they said that officially anywhere?

It certainly seems the obvious thing to do, but something official would be nice given the struggles this movie's had.

Someone on twitter mentioned to me this set won't ship to American from the Second Sight website. Is that true?

Do we understand why Amazon UK is not shipping selected items to USA? I could understand why they had stopped shipping to USA altogether, but I do not understand how they pick and choose what not to ship. In some cases they select individual items not to ship. (e.g. the Edgar Allan Poe Adaptations Limited Edition issued by MoC, even though they ship other MoC titles to USA). Is there a rationale?

I think they allow items to ship to the USA when they are closer to release date, though this doesn't apply to all items. The latest Indicator announcements ship to the USA, for example, while the Takeshi Kitano box released the same day does not, nor does Czechmate from Second Run. Zavvi doesn't seem to have this problem, so I'm doing most of my shopping there nowadays.

Yes, they do. Asylum and The House That Dripped Blood are now out in standard blus, minus only the boxes, posters and booklets.
