While I understand how the older cover might have been seen as seen multiple times already, I'm not very fond of this lazy-looking "still + filter" cover.

I always liked this poster. Slap a wacky C on it and call it a day.

Re: 938 sex, lies, and videotape
My apologies. No wonder I couldn't find info about the new cover, I was looking in the wrong place! (I deleted my post asking about the new cover since I see someone already did that 1 May (and did so in the proper place.)

At least it's keeping the original poster font.

To me, it looks like one of those generic place holder covers like they use for Amazon Digital and FilmStruck before a physical release has been designed.

Seems like some DVD titles have gotten updated covers. Anyone else spot more?

Kurosawa is an easy sell. I don't see the change for Ran though. I still have the OOP version and the one on the site doesn't look any different from what I remember.

It shows up with the wacky C for me on mobile, and there's a link someone posted on reddit that shows it updated as well. I suppose it could be a mistake?

I imagine they've got some things to work out. I believe you one hundred percent. I don't know how hostile Studio Canal is but I remember the animosity towards them when they took a whole bunch of titles back with them.ng4996 wrote:It shows up with the wacky C for me on mobile, and there's a link someone posted on reddit that shows it updated as well. It's probably just left over in the database from when the BD was announced ten years ago, similar to why CHUD is popping up.

Wow, I guess I (fortunately) forgot about it, but that Pickup On South Street cover is a sub-Twilight Time atrocity.

Obligatory "the booklet is so much better" for both of those!

I was shocked that Tree of Life was a Kellerhouse, usually he does much better than that.

If you're going to do "big heads", that's the way to do it. Still, the weird text kerning is annoying.mfunk9786 wrote:Likewise. What a delightful developmentBig Ben wrote:Laughing hysterically at The Tree of Life cover.
