I'm almost embarrassed to post this because I'm surely the only loser here to watch Adventure Time, but some footage on the NPH episode has leaked.

There's another Adventure Time?! Is there a female Regular Show, also?

These damn kids have it too good.

Does anyone else watch Adventure Time on Cartoon Network? I kept seeing things from it pop up on my Dashboard until I finally gave in and it certainly has a very internet-age charm to it. It's very "cute" but with enough weirdness and off-kilter appeal to hit the hipster market I see falling for it. I can't imagine actual kids get much out of this show, but it's pretty great. Fair representative clip from the show

I am obsessed with Adventure Time beyond all hope and reason. One of those things I'm so unjustifiably enthusiastic for that I can't even explain the first real reason why I love it so much without slobbering all over myself and embarrassing everybody in the room. God bless Pendleton Ward and long live the creator-driven cartoon.

I always like tuning into the kids network every once in a while to see what exactly is popular, and I have to say, I'm impressed with both Adventure Time and Regular Show. It's better than what I was seeing a few years back (epitomized by the shift to live-action two-camera comedies).

I'm also surprised at what many toons get away with. Nudity and poop-jokes. I use to get in trouble for using the word "suck", and now I see it used freely on tv.

These times they are a changing. As great as the two Cartoon Network shows are (I'm tempted to say three with The Amazing World of Gumball living up to it's name) Nick has them beat with one show: The Avatar series. The first story is up there with JLU for children's programming and the new story (supposedly 26 episodes long) looks to be upping the ante.

Even more so than the freakings and craps, what's crazy to me about Adventure Time specifically is how totally steeped in drug culture values it is. Many of the episodes seem engineered to speak directly to stoned teenagers, and in some instances you can barely even call it a subtext: a bunch of businessmen wash up on shore iced over, in major need of being "roasted" with Finn's flamethrower? Because of stuff like this I've seen the show championed not primarily by post-Wild Things hipsters, but the whole stoner/tripster/jam band sort of crowd. Of course, Ward has denied the show's being drug influenced in an interview somewhere, but methinks this video tells a different story.

Wow I had no idea this show has become popular with an older crowd. I was channel surfing a few weeks ago and just happened on this by accident and was surprised by how funny it was. The best compliment I can give it is that it reminded me a lot of the stuff Nickelodeon put on in the early 90s when I was kid.

Going off of the Adventure Time praise, I just started watching it after I caught an episode on CN, and "City of Thieves" is the best episode of a cartoon I've seen in a while (although my cartoon viewing is limited mostly to Groening's stuff).

I know we don't talk about it too much, but Adventure Time has been on an insane role lately. Tonight's episode is not only likely the best episode of the show, but probably of the entire television season so far.

I assume you meant the fire wolf one? I wouldn't go as far as you on either account, but I did enjoy it and thought it seemd like a short animated film with a Finn and Jake framing device more than an Adventure Time ep

Wow, that last episode of Adventure Time went to some pretty disturbing places for a "kids'" show.
SpoilerShow
A gender-confused cookie takes a bunch of hostages and then leaps to his near-death off a ledge.
Not to mention the episode where they went to the Nightosphere and walked into a hellish acid trip. I'm thankful I have this show to get me through the summer but if I were 15 years younger I don't know what I'd make of it.

There's also Gravity Falls over at Disney which has proven itself to be rather good over the first four or so episodes. It's like Northern Exposure with monsters for kids.
