For all four of you who care (though it really should be everyone) just a quick reminder that Legend of Korra premiers tomorrow at 11 in the morning so set your DVRs (or just go to nick.com/ itunes to see the first two for free).

The pilot for Veep is as well. I thought it was pretty good.

HBO passes on the Corrections -- I don't want to live in a world where Lena Dunham gets renewed and Noah Baumbach can't even get off the ground

Agreed, though I might be willing to overlook this slight if it allows for more Allison Williams.

A Murphy Brown revival should be encouraged if only to increase the chances of Warner releasing the rest of the seasons on DVD.

After seeing their respective trailers, I'm intrigued by Last Resort and The Following. High-concept stuff, but the latter at least seems like something more for cable given the fact it isn't a procedural.

There are right ways to do an interview, and there are wrong ways. This Today Show interview, where Kathie Lee Gifford asks Martin Short about his wife, is the wrong way.

At least she Tweeted an apology to the wrong Martin Short, which means she messed up being sorry twice

And that, kids, is why you're not supposed to drink wine at 11 am, every goddamn morning.

The cemetery, the first in Hollywood, was founded in 1899 and now houses the remains of Andrew “Fatty” Arbuckle...

Strange that the parody press release put Roscoe Arbuckle's cousin first in the list of celebs whose graves will be danced on.

Watching J-Moe jump from talking about his love of finger-banging white girls to suddenly giving a very impassioned appreciation of Gena Rowlands performance in A Woman Under the Influence, all without skipping a beat... well, let me just say I'd be very disappointed to learn that was scripted.

Edit: oh, and if I can play Armond White for a second... The Eric Andre Show > Comedy Bang Bang

Well, the Emmy nominations this year were especially awful for comedies, but props to even the Emmys being unable to deny that "Remedial Chaos Theory" was one of the best things to ever appear on TV. Even if the Emmy will go to Lena Dunham, guaranteed, at least Community finally got a high profile nomination

I'm very torn between who to root for in the best dramatic actor category. Cranston was incredible in season four of BB, but Damien Lewis was very very good on Homeland. I'm thinking Claire Danes is a lock too, unless they decide to just give everything to Downton Abbey.

Is anybody else as excited as I am for the return of Superjail! at the end of the month? One of the few (only?) shows on television possessing a truly surrealistic imagination... and one of the only "Alternative" cartoons which is true to the spirit of the Underground Comix from which they came.

Yes, the story and other elements are thankfully ignored (and not in that obnoxious and heinous way that most Adult Swim shows do it) with the animation being beyond belief. It's ugly in such a wonderful way stuffing as much information in the frame as possible. My only serious complaint is that the animation for season two was a little too smooth, but it still is delightfully insane.

So has anyone else watched Ben and Kate yet? I thought last night's episode was probably one of the stronger pieces of TV I've seen from a freshman sitcom in quite some time (aside from Lucy Punch's extended ad-lib, which probably went on a couple beats too long), which is especially impressive since it pops up this early in its first season, which is usually when other sitcoms are still sorting out what type of show they want to actually execute.

Of course, my positive perceptions might be highly biased, due to my unreasonably large crush on Dakota Johnson, which continues to grow exponentially because of this show, since she's really great at playing a dorky single-mom. I'm constantly shocked that Johnson comes off so likeable, self-conscious, and self-effacing considering the source(s) of her genes are perceived by most to be entirely self-involved and often just straight-up bonkers. Unless her off-screen persona is completely different, Johnson's personality seems far more grounded than the average Hollywood-kid, though maybe it's because she watched her parents' careers fall-apart so easily after their initial success. It's also a bit of an alteration to the personalities of her prior big-screen roles (21 Jump Street & The Five-Year Engagement), though I guess it's actually very close to the implied personality of her small-role in The Social Network. Anyway, I know it's early to declare this sort of thing, but I think Kate and Tommy are probably the two most endearing new characters on network TV this season.
