Re: Community
Ah, thanks. I love how the show makes these nerdy references and doesn't go for the dull Star Wars vs. Trek.

I don't quite know how to work out my attraction to Britta now that I found her stop-motion equivalent just as cute.

Re: Community
Anybody else find the close up on Britta-bot when she cried overwhelmingly sad? It just destroyed me. But then again I'm a big baby.

Re: Community
I did. There were a lot more emotional moments than usual. Abed's songs were scathing, particularly that one.

"Who'd you learn therapy from? Michael Jackson's dad?" This episode was easily the best thing I've seen on tv in ages. I was impressed by how the animation captured the character's usual live action body language so well. Yes, Britta Bot was cute.

I'm finding myself rewatching the hell out of "Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas," which hasn't happened with a holiday special since I was in the single digits, age-wise.

I finally am getting around to last night's episode and I don't know if I should cry or laugh. I guess I'll always have kettle quorn.

Re: Community
I was surprised by how far the show went in making Pierce out to be a dick before allowing for some empathy. The Britta-Abed exchanges though were a great relief from the drama.

I can't remember the last episode that made me laugh this much. Magnitude was amazing, Britta looked smoking, and what other show could/would devolve into a giant argument about Barenaked Ladies?

Re: Community
I loved it too, my favorite of the season so far. Amazing jokes throughout, and I was also dazzled by the BNL discussions. The observations about Jeff forcing himself to like soccer [since 2004] were brilliant. If it's worth mentioning that Britta looked smoking - where did the casting people find that librarian? Never have I wanted someone to become a recurring character for more selfish and shallow reasons.

Alison Brie's reaction to Pierce yelling at her is too good. I've been having to replay it all day.

Re: Community
The Nicholas Nickleby joke was great, and the "lesbian" Britta-Paige pairing was up there with the one-upsmanship of Jeff and Britta in the season opener.

Re: Community
For those growing weary of the Jeff/Britta/Annie love triangle, my wife recently informed me that she had a dream that she was cast as Joel McHale's "permanent love interest." So, um, there's something to chew on, I guess.
