Went for Mr Topaze (1961) myself, being a fan of Sellers and the rare chance to see one of the films he directed and starred in! I wonder if the film that wins will be released on Blu-ray/DVD?

Bedelia seemed most interesting to me so I went for that. Was hoping for a silent before I clicked through.

I wonder why noone restores Powell & Pressburger's "The Elusive Pimpernel", most of all.

They all sound great, but a Margaret Lockwood starring serial killer film will always get my vote!

My vote went to "The Assam Garden", but I'd love to see all of the three restored. Hope the other two won't have to wait too long for their turn.

I saw The Assam Garden when it came out! I feel old now. I remember it being pretty good. I believe it's Mary McMurray's only cinema feature and she's only done television before and since, which is the experience of a lot of British directors in the 80s and 90s.
Incidentally, there may be another print of Mr Topaze. When I was in Bucharest last October, the Cinema Eforie was advertising two showings of it, in a Romanian-subtitled 35mm print. Unfortunately I was the only person to turn up to the second screening so it didn't go ahead so I can't confirm what state the print was in.

They mentioned streaming but perhaps if the response is strong enough blu/DVD is a possibility. Maybe MichaelB can shed a little light.rapta wrote: I wonder if the film that wins will be released on Blu-ray/DVD?
I too voted for Mr Topaz.

Mr. Topaz seems to be the one that's most badly in need of a restoration. I do wonder if there are prints of it abroad under its alternate "I Love Money" title.
