2004 CRITERION FORUM AWARDS RESULTS

Criterion Producer of the Year:
Johanna Schiller for The Rules of the Game, Maitresse, Scenes from a Marriage, John Cassavetes: Five Films, and Fanny and Alexander with 56% of the vote.

Criterion Designer of the Year::
Lucien Yang for Rules of the Game, Pickup on South Street, Onibaba, Floating Weeds & A Story of Floating Weeds, The Leopard, The Lower Depths, Stage and Spectacle: Three Films by Jean Renoir, and John Cassavetes: Five Films with 41% of the vote.

Criterion Release of the Year:
TIE: John Cassavetes: Five Films and Rules of the Game, each with 40% of the vote.

Most Disappointing Release:
Diary of a Country Priest, for a poor commentary and lack of additional extras, with 44% of the vote.

Best Commentary:
Videodrome: David Cronenberg and Mark Irwin with 51% of the vote.

Best Single Supplement:
Blood of the Beasts: Eyes Without a Face with 57% of the vote.

Best Multiple Title Release:
John Cassavetes: Five Films.

Best Single Title Release:
The Battle of Algiers with 43% of the vote.

Best Package Design:
Videodrome with an overwhelming 60% of the vote.

Best Surprise:
Salvatore Giuliano, by one vote, with 38% of the vote.

Member of the Year:
Jun Dai with 51% of the vote. Congratulations and thanks, Jun Dai.

The Richard Cranium Award in Memory of B.Y. Anderson:
Flava in your ear with 44% of the vote.
