Do the promo codes have an expiration date?

30% off has been extended through May 31, so all of May’s releases are now eligible

That's cool to have more time, but they were already eligible. You can buy all releases through July at the discounted price on this offer, though assuming B&N has their July sale, I don't know why you would.

Has anyone had issues with slow shipping from the Criterion Store lately? I placed an order two weeks ago and haven't had any updates about shipping, and the website still shows the order as being prepared for shipment. I know many companies have delayed shipping right now, and I'm fine with that, but they didn't mention anything about delayed shipping when I placed the order. Just wondering if I should send an e-mail, or if there is anyone answering e-mails right now.

Did your order include any recent releases (in particular Grand Budapest?) I think it's possible that it's out of stock right now due to obvious demand but they have still left orders open so people can take advantage of the offer still. I placed an order early last week that included Budapest and haven't heard anything since either.

It was the same for me, I ordered Grand Budapest plus one other item a few days out from its release and it's still on "being packed for shipment," I assume because they're waiting for stock. It's been listed as "out of stock" several times but always quickly reverts so I think Ribs is probably correct that it's being left that way so that people can still get the 30% deal on it.

Wow, crazy timing. I just sent off an email about my order as well. All my titles were listed as in stock when I ordered, but if they’re out of stock, they should really just communicate that to us instead of putting our order in a shipping status that makes it look like it’s about to go out the door

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I realize these are first world problems, but I specifically ordered off their site rather than cheaper on eBay for a few titles because of slightly faster shipping and they will certainly arrive later now (hopefully not two weeks!) - All titles were listed as in-stock when I ordered too.

I need Miranda July in my life right now.

Thanks for posting about this. I'm in the same boat. Also ordered Grand Budapest.

Since their system is set up to only charge when an item ships but if it is listed as in stock that counts, they’re potentially listing items as in stock when they’re not to get paid. Not that I think Criterion is really kiting packages right now, but evidence of a not well thought out ordering system...

I am currently on a Bresson binge and ordered Mouchette. It said prepared for shipping for two days. Got the tracking number yesterday, however, the tracking number directed me in saying my package was arriving today. Now, I live in California. Unless the Concorde is back in service flying packages from Illinois to California, that makes sense.

I am not complaining. I just find this situation really funny.

Just heard back. The Wes Anderson movie is indeed holding things up. They anticipate more stock next week, but they’re not sure exactly when. Everything will ship once that title arrives. You might try writing them if you don’t want to wait, they offered to drop it from my order if I wanted the rest to ship now. (I’m in no rush, I just wanted some clarity on my status)

I decided to skip that title actually at the last second, so the Miranda July must be holding things up as well - which is kinda awesome if so, because I'm guessing this will be many people's introduction to this masterpiece. If I don't get my copy of that one for a few weeks because a bunch of people are blind-buying it, I'm good with that (while, conversely, I assume pretty much everyone buying the Wes Anderson has seen it already).

I bought the July and it wasn’t mentioned as holding things up. You might want to email them (or it could be another title I didn’t order but which you did)

Thanks for the clarification, domino. I was a little antsy but it'll be a good while before I can make my way through the kevyip to the stuff I bought anyway!

It's on it's way to me, but it took them a bit longer than usual to ship the Koker box set to me. I ordered last Saturday and will receive it this Saturday. A few weeks ago, I ordered the Before Trilogy and got it in two days. I'm in NYC, btw.

Has anyone’s order actually shipped? I finally got a shipping number earlier in the week but tracking sez it hasn’t moved past pre-shipment

Yeah. I got the notice Wednesday evening. Tracking number shows it delivering Tuesday. Order included the Anderson and July

I placed an order last thursday for moral tales and great escape, shipped out the next day and arrived two days ago. Had no idea some were having delayed shipments

My order showed up today, and in a box like usual and not the cardboard wraparound packaging BN uses like the last time I ordered from Criterion direct. Hopefully anyone else waiting won't be for long!

When you make an order that crosses the loyalty threshold does it have to be in stock items that makes it appear sooner or will it still appear if you do preorder items? I thought it may only appear once items ship.
