Why's everybody talking in this thread? We have threads for Short Cuts and the Cassevetes films.

I think we can clear up this mess a little more if we combine s the following threads and rename it because I think people all are just posting randomly any info in each. Just a suggestion mods.

I got this e-mail from Mulvaney just now:

Thanks for your email! We have no plans to discontinue standard DVD releases. Though it now looks like our first Blu-Ray discs will not come out until November, we will be releasing standard DVD editions of "Bottle Rocket," "Chungking Express," etc, as well. I hope this helps, and please feel free to write in again if you have any other questions!

I'm not sure if I surmise correctly that we will be seeing Bottle Rocket and Chungking Express standard def editions in November when they release the Blu-Ray or not, or if these are even being released in November on Blu-Ray. It's news, though, so I thought it worthy of posting.

I think so. It wouldn't make sense otherwise if they just release them in Blu-ray and release the DVDs at a later date. Great confirmation though!

No. This just means some Blu-rays should probably start coming in November, and when the announced titles that are not already in the collection (Chungking, etc.) do come out (not necessarily in November), they will not be BD-exclusive.
