I did find this release too dark and strange looking. Distracting viewing.

I feel this and also Losey's King and Country - two really important films to me - both dark, claustrophobic films made apparently on cheap sets really are in terrible need of new restorations.

I gave this a rewatch for the first time in a while. Is it me or does the pitch for the film seem to be a few semitones too low? Even the MGM and, especially, the United Artists logos sound off. Furthermore, the isolated music and effects track seems to be in a higher pitch compared to the main audio track (barring the opening logos).
